5 Months Later..
It has now been 5 months since Suki's surgery. She is doing GREAT! There have been no problems. I am happy to report that she even lost weight. She weighs 12 lbs now. She looks healthier too. Her hair is almost finished growing back in. It hasn't really grown back around her ankle and stomach. I guess I will have to wait longer.

Summer, thank you for posting so much information about your cat's FHO. Its so good to hear the full story because my cat, Clinton, just had to have the same surgery. He's 8 months old and got home from the vet 2 weeks ago. The recovery is really slow and it drives me nuts waiting for him to go back to normal.
Actually when I got to the photos of Suki I giggled because she looked so much like my older cat (see my Gallery). Your poor cat had to get a lot of her body shaved. Clinton had the pain patch right below his incision so he didn't have 2 big shaved areas.
